I’m machining a split bushing for my Multifix D1H63180 boring bar holder to accept a 1-1/2” bar. That holder will clamp a 2-1/2” (63mm) bar so I’m making a few bushings to reduce down to what size bar I want to use. I’ll be doing this for 1-1/2” and 2” Aloris double ended bars. Shown is the Morse Cutting Tools 1-1/4” taper shank drill I hand sharpened followed by a Walter Tools boring bar to bring it to size. I used a 1/2” drill as a pilot to start. Material is salvaged 2-1/2” 1045 chrome plated
