A new iPhone update has gone live, and it’s unprecedented. With this update, iPhone users are in new territory. This update, iOS 18.7.7 was released at the same time as the latest iOS 26.4 but only for three phones, the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR. All other phones capable of iOS 26 had to choose that.
Apple today seeded the first betas of upcoming iOS 26.5 and iPadOS 26.5 updates to developers for testing purposes, with the software coming a week after Apple released iOS 26.4 and iPadOS 26.4. Registered developers can download the betas from the Settings app on the iPhone or iPad by going to the General section and selecting Software Update.
