Another round of strong to severe storms is possible Friday afternoon and evening as a cold front moves through. Lightning and brief power outages/trees down from stronger winds, plus hail in stronger storms are the main impacts. Keep plans flexible, especially for outdoor events, and be ready to move inside quickly when storms approach.
Today, Easter Sunday, is a First Alert Weather Day for the potential of rain that could impact outdoor holiday plans.
More wintry mix is expected in the northern valley, such as north of Highway 2. Meanwhile, the central and southern areas will see light rain and potentially some ice. The precipitation sticks around until early Tuesday morning before exiting east.
We are expecting showers and storms to move into Alabama this evening and tonight, giving us a low risk for a few strong storms.
